CASTLE ROCK ICE RINK TO OPEN NOV. 17TH
R&R Engineers – Surveyors, Inc. is proud to team with Denver-based Fentress Architects and the Town of Castle Rock in creating a brand new ice rink located in the heart of downtown Castle Rock. Working in close collaboration with the architect and the Castle Rock Downtown Development Authority, R&R is providing key engineering services for utility, grading, water quality, and detention needs. The 50 ft. by 100 ft. ice skating rink will come complete with patio and bleacher space, perfect for a winter day activity with the family or a cozy date night for two.
The ice rink, known as “The Rink at the Rock” is scheduled to open Nov. 17 during the Annual Starlighting Ceremony and have continued use throughout the year as an urban gathering place and host to community activities. Concerts, markets, outdoor movies, and cultural events are being planned now for the 2013 summer season.
“The arrival of the Rink at the Rock will be a catalyst for reinvigorating Downtown Castle Rock. The entire community will benefit as we create an inviting gathering space and generate new energy for businesses to grow,” said Rick Stucy, DDA board chairman.
The Rink at the Rock will be located at 411 N. Perry Street in Downtown Castle Rock. Please visit the Town of Castle Rock website for more information.
