Project Location: Aspen Highlands, Aspen, CO
Project Description: A residential project on a steeply graded lot (2:1 slopes covering over 70% of the site), requiring careful grading and runoff management while maintaining aesthetics.
Why it’s your favorite project: The complex problem-solving aspect and working with a great client and contractor made this project rewarding.

Project Name: 35th & Brighton
Project Client: McCaffrey Interests, Inc
Project Location: 1765 35th Street, Denver, CO
Project Description: A 16-story mixed-use residential building with retail space on the first floor and internal parking.
Why it’s your favorite project: It was the first project Carlos worked on at R&R, allowing him to contribute from the early phases through redesign to near approval.

Project Client: Fountain Valley Salvation Army Corps
Project Location: 208 Cunningham Drive, Colorado Springs, CO
Project Description: A project to design a new asphalt parking lot to meet county code requirements and address stormwater issues, allowing the Salvation Army to establish youth programs.
Why it’s your favorite project: What seemed like a simple project uncovered critical stormwater challenges, demonstrating the real-world impact of engineering.

Project Name: Mobile Home Park Redesign
Project Location: 1006 W. Tomichi Ave, Gunnison, CO
Project Description: A redevelopment project transforming an outdated mobile home park into a modern community with 22 prefabricated homes.
Why it’s your favorite project: Designing the new trailer layout allowed for creative problem-solving while revitalizing a community space.
