R&R is currently providing comprehensive land surveying, civil engineering, platting, and construction staking services for multiple phases and filings of this confidential master-planned community in El Paso, Colorado. The project is a mixed-use subdivision with large commercial components, residential homes with RV garages, multiple detention ponds, an interconnected greenway, and a fire station. One of the main challenges for this project was providing the utilities to serve the rural development, so large utility extension projects were necessary to get the project started.
R&R's civil engineering scope includes site layout, grading, the design of roadway geometric design, coordination of survey activities, drainage and stormwater design, water and sewer utility design, coordination with gas/electric/communications, sidewalk/multi-use path/ bike lane design, and signing/pavement marking design. R&R also was responsible for the management of entitlements process and extensive coordination with jurisdiction and utility providers.
Land surveying services include fixed-wing flight lidar surveying of topography complemented by boots-on-the-ground boundary and detailed surveying. Platting for multiple filings including single-family lots, multifamily lots, commercial and industrial lots, roadway and drainage tracts, education and civil land set-asides, and requirement open space. Currently running multiple field crews for infrastructure and single-family filing construction staking.
